February 2022
On February 28, 2022, a fewer days after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, ABW arrested on suspicion of the espionage of Paweł Rubcov, a threatening GRU agent - Russian military intelligence. Immediately politicians of the opposition at the time and media favorable to the Civic Platform raised their concerns that it was not a GRU agent, but a Spanish writer Pablo Gonzalez, an innocent man and a crystalline one. Piotr Niemczyk, erstwhile Deputy Head of UOP Intelligence, lecturer and safety expert, said ironically on social media: "ABW superstar, which means arresting an alleged spy. Do Kamiński's services embarrass Poland‘?’

Indeed, the beak was huge. The information about the arrest of a writer under a preposterous charge of espionage spread throughout the world. The sympathetic besides reported this to the European Commission, which, in a study of July 5, 2023, accused Poland of breaking the regulation of law and the crowning example cited in the EC study was the arrest by the ABW of writer Pablo Gonzales and the accusation of espionage. This study was the basis for halting the payment of funds due to Poland from the KPO and indirectly contributed to the failure of parliamentary elections by the United Right, accused of arresting and accusing God of the spirit of a guilty journalist. Pablo Gonzales was awaiting trial and was facing 10 years in prison.
August 2024
On 1 August 2024, the largest exchange of prisoners between Russia and the West has occurred in Ankara since the Cold War. It included a full of 24 adults, of whom 10 were given the chance to return to Russia. For Vladimir Putin, this was a unique chance to “save” from the trials and imprisonment of his best agents, devoted associates, the most faithful among the faithful. Save from jail, but besides prevent interrogations that could break someone, which could origin the most closely guarded secrets of Russian politics and strategy to be revealed. And here on the list of people whose release was requested by Vladimir Putin, a modest Spanish writer Pablo Gonzales was among the dry spies. Moreover, Gonzales did not fly to Moscow after his release from the Polish prison, where Vladimir Putin himself greeted him at the airport. It's an extraordinary, unprecedented gesture, the impulse of human mercy.
I hope, I am convinced, that politicians of the Civic Platform with Donald Tuski at the head, who, with specified devotion and fierceness, defended Pablo Gonzales will appreciate this wonderful motion of Putin and will apply to the Norwegian Nobel Institute to grant Vladimir Putin the Nobel Peace Prize for 2024. However, if that is not the case if, at the time erstwhile Russian tanks were already in the suburbs of Kiev and Poles under force from the war threat were standing on petrol stations in long queues, if politicians of the then opposition stood in defence of Paweł Rubcov, an officer of Russian intelligence, if in the situation of the conflict threatening Poland they were on Russia's side, then ...................
