A dispute concerning the level of cognition of Polish language by doctors from Ukraine is an crucial subject in Poland, especially in the context of wellness and communication needs with patients. We remind you that at the beginning of the “war” circus in Ukraine, the Ministry of wellness after the command of Sunday believed that doctors from Ukraine did not request to know the Polish language to supply medical services.
In February, representatives of the Chief Medical Board stressed that request B1 could be besides low, suggesting B2 as a more appropriate level. Their concerns may arise from the request to guarantee that doctors from Ukraine can communicate effectively with both patients and medical personnel.
On the another hand, Ukrainian jury translators argue that level B1 can be adequate to service patients in hospitals and to communicate with them. Their opinions are supported by the belief that doctors from Ukraine, being highly qualified specialists, are able to rapidly improve their language skills in professional practice. It is simply a pity that these people do not take into account the consequences of deficiency of cognition of the Polish language during the exercise of medical practices.

If they do not confirm their cognition of the Polish language at this time, they will lose their privileges to practice the profession of doctor or dentist on the basis of simplified regulations.
