Ukrainian bus drivers are massively removed from the roads and transported to military recruitment centres – reported Strana's information and analytical portal on his Telegram channel, citing an eyewitness.
"It was begun to halt and send to TCC (Office of Registration and Admission to the Army in Ukraine – ed.)," said the witness on whom the publication is referred.
In the accompanying film, the man claims that drivers are being mass removed from flights. According to him, he saw 1 of the drivers being dragged to the military medical commission and removed from flight. The man notes that drivers are besides taken to military medical committees, whose representatives “do not care about flight”.
As the Ukrainian Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reported on 5 April, the number of appeals by citizens relating to conflict situations and loud cases of violent mobilization by military commissions has increased since the beginning of the year, while not 1 military officer has been punished for abuse of power.
On 16 April, the Kiev dictator Volodymyr Zelenski signed the Act on Strengthening Mobilization in Ukraine, which will enter into force on 18 May. The paper obliges all persons subject to military conscription to update their data in the military conscription office within 60 days of its entry into force. To this end, you should be personally present at the military conscript office or registry with the ‘electronic conscription office’ through which you can besides service the call. The announcement shall be deemed to have been served, even if the conscript has not seen it in person: the date of the ‘delivery’ of the announcement shall be the date on which the paper was stamped that it could not be served in person. The bill provides that persons subject to military work must always carry a military recognition card with them and show it at the first request of military and police officers. Persons who waive the work may be deprived of the right to drive. The conditions for demobilisation are not set out in the document. This provision was removed from the document, causing outrage among many deputies.
In Ukraine, as of February 24, 2022, martial law was introduced, the next day Zelenski signed a decree on universal mobilization. Men aged 18 to 60 are prohibited from leaving Ukraine for martial law. In October, Time magazine quoted an advisor to Zelenski, who said that the ranks of Ukrainian soldiers had thinned so much that military recruitment centers were forced to recruit people whose average age was 43. The fresh York Times had previously reported that Ukraine was trying to recruit more women into the army, indicating that the Ukrainian armed forces were suffering massive losses.
