An agreement between Nitro-Chem SA Chemical Plants and Paramount Enterprises global to deliver 18,000 tons of TNT in 3 years was signed. Its value reaches PLN 1.2 billion. Cezary Tomczyk besides announced large investments in the Polish ammunition factory.
On Wednesday, Deputy Minister of National Defence at Nitro-Chemu's office in Bydgoszcz announced the signing of a contract with the American company Paramount Enterprises global for supplies of 18,000 tonnes of TNT over a 3-year period for a full amount of PLN 1.2 billion.
Poland is the largest maker of TNT in NATO. Nitro-Chem is simply a bet we can be arrogant of. Poland is the main supplier of TNT for the United States Army, which shows our economical potential," said Cezary Tomczyk.
The politician besides stressed that the partnership with the United States is strategical and sustainable for Poland, besides in the context of "what is happening in the world".
Our common interests can go both ways. Sometimes there will be contracts in which we will buy and get skills, sometimes specified as present – in which we will sale and do good business – Tomczyk said.
Deputy Minister of National Defence stressed that the government's intention is for the Polish arms manufacture to "just develop" – Only in Nitro-Chem plants we want to invest about PLN 1 billion. Investment worth PLN 120 million is already being implemented," said the typical of the MON.
Cezary Tomczyk, on Wednesday in Bydgoszcz, pointed out that erstwhile it comes to cooperation with the United States, "even the various customs duties will not be an obstacle to us"
The United States is simply a key partner for us in terms of safety and the arms industry. We can sale to the Americans what we produce. Polish technologies in the field of explosives, TNT are valued worldwide," said Tomczyk.
Nitro-Chem is in the ellipse of interest of MON in the context of construction of Polish ammunition factories 155 mm. In 2024, a fresh technology line was launched to be utilized for the embalming of missiles, thus doubling production capacity in this area.
Over the next years we want to invest over PLN 3 billion in the ammunition mill in Poland. This, among others, Nitro-Chem is for us a place where we will want to do this – said Tomczyk on Wednesday in Bydgoszcz.
History of Nitro-Chem Chemical Plants in Bydgoszcz dates back to the 1940s. The Company is part of the Polish Armed Forces Group. It is 1 of the world's largest explosives manufacturers, including those needed for the production of TNT.
According to Nitro-Chem, outside the USA, the company besides develops its presence on global markets, including Bulgaria, Spain, France, Sweden, Portugal, Finland, Scandinavia and Asia.
