Jacek Siewara was appointed head of the National safety Bureau by Andrzej Duda in October 2022. The NSA deals with the actions entrusted by the president to guarantee the safety of the state. Siewara wants to leave BBN to focus on activities aimed at strengthening Poland in the Baltic region. He himself did not comment on reports from journalists.

TVN24 journalists say that Jacek Siewara may leave the post next week. They besides guarantee that his decision is not dictated by conflict with the president or his surroundings. “ Siewiera has a good relation with Duda and is loyal to him,” says a tv individual in the company.
Another TVN24 interlocutor, however, said that leaving the post was “a substance of respective weeks”. Everything is to depend on the situation in the Baltic Sea region. However, as TVN24 journalists say, the decision is already decided.
