"One" spy assistant?

The allegations concern the assistant Euro MP Maximilian Krah, the party's main candidate in the upcoming elections to the European Parliament. The EP suspended the assistant Euro MP AfD following reports of his spy activities to China. The Minister of the Interior of Germany, Nancy Faeser, assessed the allegations as very serious and indicated that spying for China in the European Parliament is simply a threat to European democracy.

Two men and a female were detained in Germany on suspicion of espionage for China and contacts with Chinese peculiar services the day before.

However, this is not the end of Krah's problems as the Dresden lawyer General launched 2 preliminary investigations against him concerning alleged payments from Russian and Chinese sources. This investigation is independent of the national prosecutor's proceedings against Jian G., who worked for Krah and is suspected of spying on behalf of China.

Links to the Kremlin

It seems that by any time the organization under analysis is being accused of serious things. The weekly “Der Spiegel” published a cover subject entitled “Traitors!” concerning the group. Journalists say the party's strategy is linked to the Kremlin, indicating further reports of AfD's relation with Western opponents specified as Russia and China. The problem of Kremlin's hidden influence on politicians is not limited to Germany.

Overtakes CDU/CSU and Green polls...

More and more young people in Germany declare their support for the right-wing national alternate organization for Germany (AfD), according to the ‘Jugend in Deutschland 2024’ studyhttps://t.co/crsw8A1m8a

The weekly, citing information from Western intelligence agencies, reports that in the autumn of 2022 an alternate manifesto for Germany (meaning AfD) was created in the Kremlin. This paper was to be a guide to the party's future, indicating as its main goal its dominance in politics. Tino Chrupalla, co-chair of the AfD, referred to reports saying it was an attack on organization members and an effort to strike the full group.

Grouping protest

Hundreds of protesters gathered on Saturday in Donaueschingen, where the AfD organization began its campaign. The demonstrators identified AfD politicians as Chinese and Russian spies and demanded diversity and tolerance.

AfD, which in the past called for the deportation of Muslims, became a crucial force in German politics. However, it cannot be hidden that the fresh scandals have negatively affected AfD's support. According to the last ZDF poll, if elections to the European Parliament were held last Sunday, the organization would have taken 3rd place behind CDU/CSU and the Greens. 3/4 of the respondents consider the AfD spy scandal a serious threat to Germany.

EU decommissioning

AfD's characteristic request is that the organization proposes to replace the current European Union with a confederation of nations with limited competence at the convention inaugurating the European Parliament's electoral campaign. AfD candidate for the European Parliament Marc Jongen in a conversation with EURACTIV.de stressed that the organization is striving to increase national sovereignty and limit EU competence to what is essential and beneficial.

The alternate to Germany wants to end the European Union in its current form. In her place, a confederation of nations with limited competence would be established, the organization announced at a convention launching an election run to the European Parliament.https://t.co/4goydMmK83

Jongen claims that the European Union is turning into a ‘superstate’ which will cease to be a democracy and Germany will finance Europe as a whole. AfD has already given up on Germany's request to leave the European Union, alternatively proposing the creation of a Confederation of European Nations. The thought is to keep a cost-effective EU interior marketplace for Germany while at the same time eliminating cohesion policy.

The organization plans to replace the current EU with a fresh economical community and a community of interests, without further centralisation and paternalism. AfD besides seeks to abolish the "un-democraticly elected European Parliament" and besides wants to reconstruct the erstwhile German currency, thereby giving up the euro.
