The Berlin paper "Die Tageszeitung" ("TAZ") writes on Thursday, June 26, about "open anti-Semitism" in the European Parliament (PE). The diary recalls that a small over a year ago, the leader of the right-wing populist alternate for Germany (AfD) Alice Weidel placed the condition for the creation of a common group of Europe of Sovereign Nations (ESN) in the EP. It sounded "no anti-Semites."
Controversial Assistant
"However, individual members of the ESN group seemingly do not care besides much: late Marcin Sypniewski, a associate of the far right Polish Confederate party, hired as his assistant publisher and organization officer Tomasz Grzegorz Stala, who is known for his anti-Semitism" – we read.
"TAZ" writes that Stala publishes in his far-right publishing home anti-Semitic books on ritual murders, alleged judaic planet conspiracy, and even negation of the Holocaust. Among the authors is, among others, convicted of negating the Holocaust, the late historian Dariusz Ratajczak.
The diary recalls that Stala himself had allegations of negating the Holocaust in connection with the resumption of Ratajczak's books, and although the court acquitted him due to the fact that he himself was not the author of these books, the prosecution appealed. He's inactive under investigation for hatred speech.
What does AfD say?
"Die Tageszeitung" asked co-chairman of Parliament Group AfD René Austa to comment. This 1 was handed over to the paper by a message by the Confederate associate Marcin Sypniewski. He explains that Stala is his "local assistant and published 250 partially 'controversial' titles as a book publisher, but they were all 'covered with critical introduction'. His publishing activity was not 'anti-Semitic' and was acquitted in the Holocaust denial trial," writes "TAZ". He besides adds that since 1 June Stala is no longer the president of the 3DOM publishing house.
The Berlin paper notes that anti-Semitic books and films can inactive be ordered in this publication, including by another Confederate MP Grzegorz Braun, who was not included in the group of Europe Sovereign Nations due to his anti-Semitic behavior.
"The Individual Case"
René Aust explains for the "TAZ" that "the employment of individual workers is the sole work of individual Members. AfD is neither active in these processes nor can it prevent the hiring of these employees". He besides adds that "AfD does not connect to described positions".
AfD leader spokesperson Alice Weidel besides referred to the case in a akin way. "When asked if the regulation of 'no anti-Semites' inactive applies, the spokesperson replied, 'Actually yes'. But this refers more to the legal meaning of the word 'in principle': exceptions are possible. The individual substance will have no consequences, at least for now" - concludes "TAZ".
