Germany declared in September 2023 that the transfer of 400 BATT UMG (licensed as FFG MRAP) vehicles to Ukraine did not take place for many months. Originally planned to pass 200 vehicles to Kiev by the end of the year 2024, however, this plan was reduced to 20 wagons per period from June 2024 (which was due to give 140 copies by December). However, these assumptions proved besides optimistic and Berlin only provided Kijov with 103 BATT UMG wagons (until mid-November it was ** only 26 wagons). This second value became the subject of many articles created in the German (and not only) press, showing the trace implementation of Berlin's promises.
