
Belgian airspace was closed – Reuters reported. As added reason is simply a method responsibility with the air traffic controller Skeyes. As a result, no aircraft can presently land or compete at major airports in the country, including Brussels, Antwerp, Ostend, Charleroi and Liège.

Skeyes spokesperson Kurt Verwilligen told the local VRT broadcaster that since 3:00 p.m. local time Air traffic control system utilized to manage Belgian airspace ‘not working properly’.

As a consequence of the redirection, 1 Belgian aircraft has already landed at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The exact origin of the problem is not yet known. The situation has nothing to do with the plane crash that occurred in the United States.
