Lt-Col Janusz Gołuchowski He died in Warsaw on Thursday – informed the Capital Environment of the 1st Polish Panzer Division, which he was erstwhile president.

Janusz Gołuchowski was born on 4 March 1928 in Warsaw. Initially, he attended the Private School of Sisters of the Franciscan household of Mary in the Płudy, then continued his studies at the state general school and later at the vocational school.

To National Army in 1944. During Warsaw Uprising fought in the VII Oblast of the Warsaw territory of AK. He participated in an unsuccessful effort to gain barracks in Legionów, later hiding in Henryów.

In September 1944, he and his household were displaced by the Germans to a fortress in Zakroczym and then exported to work camp in Wendenfurth close HasselfeldeWhere he worked on the logging. After the liberation of the camp by the Allies in April 1945, he stayed in camps in Blankenburg and Lebenstedt.

Thanks to uncle's aid Antoni Fijałkowski in January 1946 he went to the supplement camp 1st Armoured Division Gen. Maczka in Quakenbrück, where he finished second grade junior high. He returned to Poland in 1947.

For over 30 years he worked in Company of Construction Favetive Works Warsawand retired in 1988.

In the 1980s, he was a associate of the “Sons of the Regiment” association operating at ZBOWiD. He served as Secretary and later president Capital Environment 1 of the Polish Armoured Division.
