In turn, advanced Iranian commanders warned that any reaction of Israel would meet an even greater military response, and besides urged the United States not to support Israel's actions by threatening attacks on American bases.
The attack was met with global condemnation. The United States, along with the leaders of the G7 group, decided on a coordinated diplomatic consequence to Iran's actions that president Joe Biden described as impudent.
