According to the British Journal, which cites anonymous Ukrainian participants, Washington wants arrangements with Kiev to include ownership and control of the joint investment fundand besides assumed U.S. ownership in assets specified as Ukrainian atomic power plants.
"FT" recalled in this context the Thursday speech of president Donald Trump at the White House, in which he said among others that the United States is curious signing agreements on uncommon earth metals and minerals worldwide, but ‘Ukraine is of peculiar interest’.
“We are doing very well with Ukraine and Russia, and 1 of the things we do is signing a contract shortly on uncommon earth metals with Ukraine” said the American leader, but he did not give any details.
