Poland continues to strengthen safety on the border with Belarus. As part of the latest investments, 5 fresh reflection towers will be created and the method road along the dam will be rebuilt into asphalt. These are further steps to increase the effectiveness of protection against illegal migration.
70-metre towers with modern monitoring
As told by the Colonel Mr Andrzej Jużwiak in conversation with PAP, installation five fresh reflection towers It has already started and will last until December. Structures, measuring 70 meterswill be equipped with advanced cameras and optoelectronic systems. They will be located on sections of border rivers in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
‘The selection of these sites was preceded by an in-depth analysis, taking into account, inter alia, the conditions of the site, the legal position of the property, the possible scope of reflection and the location of the towers in relation to each another so as to cover the area as much as possible with visual surveillance’ – explained the typical of the Border Guard.
The SG presently has eight akin towers, and fresh constructions will importantly improve monitoring of hard areas available. In addition, the towers will be mounted red lights (at an altitude of 40 and 70 metres), in accordance with the rules on air obstacles.
Asphalt road for better patrol mobility
In addition to the towers, the Border defender modernizes technical way along the barrierwhich will yet be covered with asphalt. The investment is intended to improve patrol mobility and facilitate the movement of dense military vehicles.
"Redevelopment of the road responds to the request to increase mobility and opportunities for faster, more efficient movement of patrols operating in the area" – stressed Jużwiak.
