New ideas for expanding the Belarus army

The president of Belarus ordered in February the formation of a fresh kind of armed force in the form of volunteer territorial defence. Unlike the Polish counterpart, the "Belarusian WOT" is expected to number nearly 3 times more people and to be much more many than the army of the time of peace of this country. At the same time, the announcements of the enlargement of the regular armed forces were not cancelled.
