The Ministry of Climate and Environment took action to stabilise electricity prices in the second half of 2024 at a level acceptable to the public. The information on this subject was provided by the Climate Deputy Minister, Miłosz Motyka, who in consequence to the parliamentary interpelling presented plans for the ministry to form energy prices.

Planning of support mechanisms for recipients

Minister Motyka pointed out that the Ministry of Climate and Environment, in cooperation with another ministries, is presently working on establishing support mechanisms for energy consumers in the coming months. Factors affecting energy pricing in wholesale markets and their impact on prices to final consumers are being examined. The aim of these measures is to reconstruct the balance of the electricity market, ensuring acceptable prices for most of the population.

Direction of Budgetary Measures to Home Farm Aid

To date, the budgetary resources allocated to the freezing of energy prices are to be diverted to aid households in economical difficulties and are incapable to meet the emergence in fees. Minister Motyka stressed that the intent of the ministry is to combat energy poorness by providing targeted assistance to the most deprived.

The climate and environment minister, Paulina Hennig-Kloska, mentioned government plans to reduce energy tariffs since July.
