The Nepali rescue services released 2 workers on Friday, who were trapped in a hydroelectric tunnel for 9 days after a catastrophic flood on the Nepal-Tibet border, reported authorities.
The material losses after the disaster are estimated at over $2.5 billion in Nepal.
The success of the rescue action was reported on social networks by Shri Ram Neupane shortly after Army spokesperson General Raja Ram Basnet confirmed the rescue of the first of the imprisoned. The survivors are 2 hydroelectric workers.
