Almost 160,000 extremists in Germany

Pro-Russian extremism was explicitly mentioned as an extremist threat linked to abroad ideologies in the yearly study of the German Office for the Protection of the BfV Constitution. According to the service, over 1,200 crimes related to Russian aggression against Ukraine were committed in Germany in 2022. Offences included in the group of alleged abroad ideologies (excluding spiritual motivations) increased by more than 150 percent to almost 2 thousand, so the lion's part was people of Russian origin.
