Karol Nawrocki vetoed the amendment of the Law on the Protection of Minors, which is the alleged lex Kamilek. The President's Chancellery has already commented on this decision. Moreover, Nawrocki is not the only individual who has reservations about this project.

The head of the Chancellery of the president of the Republic of Poland informed on Friday of Nawrocki's decisions concerning the laws notified to him. 1 of them is commonly known as the "lex Kamilek" Act on the Protection of Minors. – The bill was proposed by a government majority, parliamentary as an component of deregulation. There is no agreement here to be signed by the president for many reasons. These reasons were besides pointed out by the Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child, and I will remind you of the vote chosen by this parliamentary majority. From the very beginning, the RPD pointed to far-reaching shortcomings – saying so euphemistically – of this bill and lowering the protection of children's rights – Zbigniew Bogucki said.

"The president disagrees and shares in this respect the position of the RPD to reduce children's rights at the expense of removing certain administrative obstacles, especially the welfare of the child," he added.

The Ombudsman for Children's Rights Monika Horna-Cieślak on the authoritative website published a message on the matter. She pointed out that, in her opinion, the bill "is introducing unjustified exceptions to the question of criminality verification or that these obligations, in an unreasonable manner, mitigates".

The RPD believes that through this "people convicted of various crimes will be able to contact children in practice, e.g. during classes in kindergartens or schools where they will be guests". The fresh regulations abolished the work to present a certificate of non-criminality to those who were to attend school classes in the company of teachers. In addition, coaches who had already been verified by their employer in another place were besides not to gotta reschedule their certificates for a second time in schools.

The "lex Kamilek" law besides exempts people from it, from whom the criminality of police officers, lawyers, lawyers or judges is required.
