Mentzen invites Nawrocki and Trzaskowski – what is it about
On Tuesday before noon, Sławomir Mentzen turned to Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki, who would fight for the presidency as representatives of KO and PiS on 1 June. The Confederate candidate won 14.8 percent of the vote, thus placing in 3rd place. Now he has betrayed how he intends to aid his supporters decide who to support in the 2nd circular of elections. Mentzen wrote on X:
"I invitation both candidates: Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski to talk to me on the YT (YouTube – ed.). During the interview, I'll ask you to sign a declaration in accordance with my constituents' expectations.
There is no better way to convince my constituents than to appear on my social media. My constituents don't watch your TV, they don't buy your media propaganda. They usage social media, they watch my stuff. If you care about their voices, convince them.
Come in!".
Trzaskowski and Nawrocki – what they replied to Mentzen
Sławomir Mentzen's entry, which reached 1.4 million views, was further reported by Karol Nawrocki. The president of IPN covered it with 3 sentences of answers. "I accept the invitation and I am ready to sign these proposals. We'll discuss the remainder on the channel. See you later," replied the PiS candidate. Mentzen and Nawrocki didn't gotta wait long to talk. "A conversation with Karol Nawrock will take place on my YT this Thursday at 1 p.m.," wrote a Confederate MP.
Rafał Trzaskowski besides took the floor. – I am ready to talk to the voters of all my counter-candidates. I'm not gonna make a discrimination here. I saw Mr. Mentzen's postulates. I realize that these are the issues that he cares about, first of all his constituents. With many of these demands I agree, so I think there will be no problem," said the president of Warsaw, as quoted by Onet.
Mentzen's Postulates for Nawrocki and Trzaskowski
1. I will not sign any law that increases existing taxes, contributions, fees or introduces fresh fiscal burdens.
2. I will not sign any law limiting cash turnover and will stand defender against Polish gold.
3. I will not sign any law limiting the freedom of expression in accordance with the Polish Constitution.
4. I will not let Polish soldiers to be sent to Ukraine.
5. I will not sign the Act on ratification of Ukraine's accession to NATO.
6. I will not sign any law limiting Poles' access to weapons.
7. I will not agree to transfer any powers of the authorities of the Republic of Poland to the bodies of the European Union.
8. I will not sign ratification of any fresh EU treaties weakening Poland's role, e.g. by weakening the vote or taking distant the right of veto.
