Although the May parade in Chicago is primarily a celebration of Polishness and tradition, this year's event gained an unexpected political dimension. For a fewer days now, the politicians of Law and Justice have wanted to usage their own way of promoting their presidential candidate, Karol Nawrocki. However, they found any difficulties.

Karol Nawrocki, who was 1 of the main political guests of the parade and had previously attended a formal charity breakfast, was not officially presented to the participants. As Paweł Żuchowski from RMF FM reported, he besides did not get a voice on stage. "He was present on it, however, erstwhile the organizers mildly let us know that they did not want to get active in the campaign, he descended from it and greeted people along the parade tour," wrote the writer on platform X.

Despite the organizers' requests for a joint celebration of the Constitution on May 3 without implicating politics, Karol Nawrocki did not miss the chance to convince Poles in Chicago to vote for him.
The rabble commented on Marta Almodovar, the organizer of the charity breakfast. – It was not a day to conduct any political agitation. I am sorry, but it was what was – she shared her opinion with RMF FM correspondent.
I didn't like the confusion. It was very rude in my opinion – she added. And she recalled that the event was purely charity, not political. – We have raised $30,000 for Polish-American students. I hope that next year we will return to celebrating the Constitution and helping children again," she noted.

Karol Nawrocki commented on the substance in an interview with RMF FM correspondent: he stated that he was happy that Polonia felt the emotion of seeing him. “When I came, I was definitely the guy who focused all the attention,” he admitted.
The specified fact that he was not allowed to speak, the PiS candidate commented as follows: "It does not hurt me that I could not talk if with good intentions the hosts made specified a decision," Nawrocki said.
On the tour there were besides voters of Rafał Trzaskowski who brought banners supporting the candidate KO. On 1 of them was the inscription attacking Nawrocki: "And the right hand in the mud wants to choose us a pimp". There is no shortage of critical comments on the network summarizing the behaviour of the PiS candidate and stressing that this "evening will go back to history", and that "it was no more embarrassing".
