On 6 August, Karol Nawrocki took the office of president of Poland and gave his first message to the National Assembly. This event and its various circumstances match a number of political truths that must never be forgotten.
First, the winners compose the story. Karol Nawrocki is simply a man of terrible biography. It is no longer essential to further callback the facts of his past that we learned during the election campaign: about the acquisition of a "post" of a municipal flat in Gdańsk with injury to the old man, about the declaration of untruth in a notarial act, about the participation in providing guests of the Sopot hotel known as "sacrifices", about the prudence and light approach to public property in the context of an flat in the Museum of the Second planet War, about participation in violent Kibol fights, about cognition in both this environment and with people active in illegal activity, or who profess open views in neo-Nazi principle. The image of the alleged "gangus" emerges from all of this, which – if he is simply a "gangus" rehabilitated and after a life breakthrough in the form of choosing a different way of life – should apologize in any form for his misdeeds. If not the general public, it is surely victims of their actions, e.g. the deprived old man's apartment, injured in Sopot women or kibols of hostile teams who suffered injury from his hand.
Nawrocki, however, is the winner, so he doesn't gotta apologize or even publically reflect on his past. Instead, in the message... he forgives! He forgives political opponents, journalists, publicists and influencers for informing about these facts. He calls it all “liables”, “disdain” and “propaganda” and “as a Christian” freely forgives. As the Messiah tells us, “go and sin no more,” acknowledging, of course, that it is closed and unforgiving to contemplate your wicked works.
Second, we don't learn from our mistakes. According to Nawrocki's message, he is inspired by the Second Polish Republic. So he quoted in his speech her "founding fathers". The most extended pro-Russian anti-Semite Roman Dmowski, to which he unfortunately has the perfect closest (as evidenced by the complete silence of Ukraine and the guilt of the war behind our east border in the message). Nawrocki would never sign the thesis that the III of Poland is far more successful than the II of Poland. In the context of contemporary Poland, he complains that "no more can be ruled", so we have a bottom. It proposes entering the way II of the Polish Republic, on which we are in fact already located. If we presume that the execution on the progressive president of Gdańsk resembles the endecide crime of Narutowicz's murder, then the fresh constitution of 2030, which was proposed by Nawrocki, written by the right-wing right-wing community, will undoubtedly reflect the sanacity constitution of 1935, which radically restricted civilian rights and freedoms, sealing Poland's drift towards authoritarian dictatorship, which had previously been unlawfully practiced in the form of political persecution of the opposition. This is simply a imagination of right-wing regulation after 2027? Will the collapse of the state be at the end of this moral degrengolade as a consequence of an attack by an aggressive neighbour who will facilitate the fatal management of authoritarian power? This is where the Second Polish way ends, which is praised by the fresh president...
Thirdly, polarization favors lies and extremists. Nawrocki knows that. The run taught him that. In a country with a typical, much lower level of political polarity, hatred and mistrust, any candidate with luggage like his would be finished. However, in Poland (as in the USA, another country with marginal polarization), half of the population automatically finds negative reports of the candidate in the media of this "second camp" to be a lie. Especially since the subject is not taken by the media of their side, setting the goal of winning their candidate, of course, above all striving for fact in any sense of it. And now that polarization has allowed the choice of a individual so drastically charged with specified a advanced office, it is clear that she and her political camp will not quit further drive to polarization. Especially due to the fact that in just over 2 years the public will gotta swallow Grzegorz Braun as vice president of the Council of Ministers of Poland...
This is why Nawrocki's first speech was so confrontational, offensive and even aggressive. In this respect, we can see a qualitative change in relation to the kind of Andrzej Duda, and this change is the escalation. Hence the deficiency of the regulation of law, hence the designation of the "Constitutional and Legal Order" disassembled between 2015 and 23 by the Law and the Law and Justices, hence the announcement of the non-statutory office of people who defended the regulation of law against the Law and the appointment of people from Kasta Watch's poetics. Hence provocative announcements of initiatives radically beyond the political function of the president and attempts to make a circumstantial alternate government in the Presidential Palace. Hence the request of the judges to obey the arbitrary actions of the PiS people in power. Therefore, the designation that there is no legal national prosecutor in Poland at the moment, and the Government of Tusk is constantly violating the constitution, and it, not the legacy of 8 years of the Law and Justice Offices, is simply a real origin of violation of the Constitution.
Fourth, you should be able to count. Or not? The alleged ‘Nawrocki 21 Programme’ is surely not based on accounts. The Liberal can, as practically in any another compartment, applaud Nawrock, who proposes a zero PIT for families with 2 or more children, a simplification of VAT to 22%, a threshold for a higher taxation rate of PLN 140.000 or the elimination of the alleged Belka tax. All large ideas, but how do they relate to the largest budget deficit in the past of free Poland and the commitment to spend 5% of GDP on defence? There's nothing in the message, and that's besides bad. Nawrocki just wants to know about the state's finances, promises to set the government to the vertical and call for inquiries under the name of the Cabinet Council, demands major investments of the CPK type, ports, bridges and roads, but at the same time criticises economical and trade unions with Western European countries, including Germany (the second most crucial origin of our prosperity), criticises European integration, which has created a large interior request (the first, the primary origin of our prosperity), refuses any discussion about the euro or a model of rational immigration, although it is absolutely dependent on both of these issues to sustain our economical progress.
At the end of the message, Nawrocka shouted – in the kind of American presidents, which reveals the usage of a simple calculus from English – “May God bless Poland”.
We both believe in God. But I, impressed by the first day of the presidency of my Gdańsk countryman, would alternatively choose "May God have us in his care."
