Two reports of suspected crime by presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki were sent to the Gdańsk prosecutor's office. It is about the acquisition of apartments by him in Gdańsk - the territory Attorney's Office in Warsaw informed on Thursday.

The announcements were originally sent to the Warsaw territory Attorney's Office; they were submitted by the Vice Marshal of the Senate, candidate of the fresh Left for president Magdalena Biejat and a private individual - added the prosecutor's office in a communication on the X portal.

"In connection with many media inquiries, the territory Attorney's Office in Warsaw informs that 2 notifications about a suspected crime involving the taking over of a property in Gdańsk by 1 of the candidates for the office of the president of the Republic of Poland were sent in accordance with the local property to the Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk" - wrote the prosecutor's office.

On Wednesday, the chief of staff of candidate Anna Górska informed PAP about the notification submitted by Biejat. Earlier in PAP, Biejat herself said that "the charge is fraud, bringing to an adverse regulation assets by Mr Jerzy Z.", from which the studio in Gdańsk took over Nawrocki.

The candidate recalled that in last week's debate "Super Express" asked the candidate supported by the Law and Justice on his housing program and cadastral tax. Nawrocki replied that he was an opponent of cadastral taxation and that he would defend the state against this taxation and that he said this on behalf of average Poles and Poles, "who, like him, have 1 apartment."

Onet portal later revealed that contrary to this declaration Nawrocki is not the owner of 1 and 2 apartments. Apart from surviving in Gdańsk, where he lives with his family, he besides has a studio flat in Gdańsk. A fewer days later, the portal stated that in 2017, Jerzy Z. - the then owner of the studio - gave it to Nawrock and his wife in exchange for care and maintenance, that is, on the basis of a life contract, however, the man went to a welfare home. In consequence to this, Nawrocki posted on the net a message made by him as the president of the IPN, in which he listed the 2 properties he owns with his wife, and a 50% stake in his surviving mother's apartment.

According to Nawrocki, his acquisition of the studio "has been completed full according to the law". On Tuesday, in Bogdan Rymanowski's online program, he said that the issue of assistance provided by him to Jerzy Z. and the acquisition of the flat were separate matters. He said he had nothing to say about the apartment.

PiS MP Przemysław Czarnek explained that Jerzy Z. bought from the city a municipal flat where he lived, with a bonus, for 10 percent of the value, for the money that Nawrocki lent him. He besides stressed that, despite Onetu's claims, no authoritative paper mentions the conclusion of a alleged life contract. Mr PiS added that in 2012 Nawrocki and his wife concluded a contract with Mr Jerzy to commit to buying a man's flat no later than the end of March 2017. He added that in the perpetual books there is simply a contract to sale the flat and a notarial act dated March 6, 2017, which confirms that Jerzy Ż. sold the flat to Nawrock and his wife for PLN 120 thousand.

On Wednesday, Nawrocki reported that he would hand over the studio in Gdańsk for charity.(PAP)
