Karol Nawrocki, a presidential candidate supported by the Law and Justice, is facing a serious image crisis. His run was shaken by the alleged "residential scandal". Sources akin to the Law and Justices uncover that a large number of politicians blame 1 individual for Nawrocki's problems.

The media storm broke out in connection with Nawrocki's acquisition of studios from older man, Jerzy Zz. The acquisition itself has raised questions, but these communication faults have led to the biggest confusion. Public opinion began to look for inaccuracies, and the contradictory statements of the spokesperson Emilia Wierzbicka and another PiS politicians only added fuel to the fire.

In a message published by Wierzbicki on Sunday, 4 May after 21:00, it was emphasized that Nawrocki supported Jerzy Z. financially – he paid bills, supplied food and medicines. The spokeswoman besides pointed out that contact with the man ceased in December 2024. Nawrocki was expected to effort to make contact by his neighbors, but without success.

The media is questioning the staff's version.

Contrary to these assurances, journalists from Onetu found Jerzy Z. in the Gdańsk Social Welfare home the following day. According to information from the city authorities, the man has been there since April 2024 – so contact with him was possible and should not be a problem. In this situation, doubts arose as to whether the staff deliberately missed the truth.

Another passage of the message caused equally large controversy. In him, Wierzbicka argued that Jerzy Z. was to give the flat to Karol Nawrock as an expression of gratitude for the aid received – however, this information was besides questioned. Media findings indicate that the transaction raises ethical and legal doubts.

Who's George W.? Network references

Several profiles belonging to Jerzy Z. were found in social media, which contradicted the communicative about "no contact". The entries indicated that an older man had been facing serious wellness and poorness problems for years. “I don’t walk without bullets, I don’t eat enough”, “I’ve been at home for 4 years, I can’t walk on my own” – these are just any of his dramatic entries.

Virtual Poland and “Fakt” informed about the existence of respective Jerzy Ż. accounts, and each of them included Karol Nawrocka among friends. This information further weakened the credibility of the staff, suggesting that contact with the tenant was possible all the time.

Tensions in the staff and interior friction

An additional obstacle was Nawrocki's absence in the country erstwhile the scandal hit headlines. The candidate was abroad, so he could not personally address the charges. Among his collaborators there were criticism voices – it was pointed out that the conference in Hungary, organized in the form of a rally, did not let for a meaningful dialog with the media and dispel doubts.

The moods inside the staff are deteriorating overnight. Sources close to the Law and Justice have revealed that a large number of politicians blame spokeswoman Emilia Wierzbice for the current crisis. Its message, any say, was not only to help, but to origin further waves of criticism.

Will Wierzbicka be removed?

The anonymous statements of politicians indicate that the force to dismiss the spokesperson is increasing. “They should throw it out,” says 1 of the interviewers associated with the faction of Mateusz Morawiecki. Although there are no authoritative decisions, the tension between Nawrock and Wierzbice is to be clearly felt. Relationships inside the staff have worsened considerably.

A scandal that can find the result of the election?

The events of fresh days call into question the further conduct of Karol Nawrocki's campaign. Miscommunication, inconsistency in transmission and controversy around the housing issue can permanently influence public perception of the candidate. Time will tell if the Law and Justice can minimize the harm this communicative has done.
