On 27 April 2025 the National March of Life will be held in Warsaw – an event that unites Poles all year in defence of the most precious value of life. It is simply a manifestation for those who are not afraid to talk aloud: all life is important, from conception to natural death. This year's edition of the March will have a peculiar dimension, as on the same day we celebrate the main celebrations of the 1000th anniversary of the Kingdom of Poland.
The Life March is not only a cyclical demonstration for the protection of life, but besides a way to remind the society of the fundamental values on which our state and our identity were built. Last year, in consequence to the threat of overthrowing the law protecting life, tens of thousands of people stood on the streets of Warsaw. This year the threats, though changing their character, did not disappear. Another blow to the foundations of our civilisation of life has been the proposals for the alleged "abortion clinics" and fresh regulations for killing children just before birth.
The Life March is the answer to these threats. It is an appeal to defend what is most precious in Poland – the rights to life of all man, regardless of the circumstances of his conception. But it is besides a reminder of the work for our common heritage – a legacy that is not only a historical memory but a surviving testament to future generations.
This year's edition of the March of Life besides has a symbolic dimension due to the fact that it coincided with the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the Kingdom of Poland. The march will so become a tribute to the values that inactive form our national identity – independence, sovereignty, but besides fidelity to the teaching of St John Paul II, which constantly reminded of the importance of household and respect for life.
The event will besides be a reminder of our history, of the origins of the Polish state, erstwhile we swore our allegiance to God, household and nation. For this reason, the March of Life will begin with an historical parade of warriors, knights and soldiers, headed by a royal procession and Bolesław Chrobry – a symbol of our large past and a solid foundation for the future.
On this peculiar day we call for a common prayer and solidarity for all who believe that life is the highest value that must be protected. These values are not only a spiritual issue, but they form the foundation of civilization, which is based on respect for man from the minute of conception, throughout his life, to his natural death.
I invitation both women and men, families, pro-life organizations, spiritual communities, but besides those who fight regular for the right to live in Poland.
The march will begin at 12:30 in the Castle Square in Warsaw, where we will march to Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigłego Park. The end is scheduled at 3:00 p.m. It is worth coming not only for the defence of life, but besides for the future of our homeland, our family, our civilisation.
