Wednesday's National Lottery jackpot will roll over to an estimated £8.7 million after no players managed to scoop Saturday's top prize. The draw saw millions of hopeful ticket holders miss out on the main jackpot.
The winning Lotto numbers drawn on Saturday were 05, 07, 25, 29, 40 and 46, with the bonus number being 15. Despite the widespread participation, no players successfully matched all six main numbers to claim the jackpot prize.
Million-pound winner emerges
One fortunate ticket holder did secure a substantial £1 million prize by matching five of the six main numbers plus the bonus ball. This represents the second-tier prize in the National Lottery's structure.
The Lotto HotPicks draw, which uses the same numbers as the main Lotto draw, also failed to produce a top prize winner. No players matched all five numbers required to win the £350,000 jackpot in this supplementary game.
Thunderball results announced
Saturday's Thunderball draw produced the winning numbers 09, 12, 13, 19 and 20, with the Thunderball number being 14. The top prize of £500,000 remained unclaimed as no ticket holders matched all five numbers plus the Thunderball.
However, nine players did achieve success in the Thunderball draw by matching all five regular numbers. Each of these winners earned £5,000 for their efforts, providing some consolation prizes in an otherwise jackpot-free evening.
