Ladies and gentlemen
I have told you many times that since the Ministry of Education began destroying Polish education and depravity of children in schools, we are constantly on the road.
I just heard: It's good that you guys go around like this all the time. But is it worth going around the country like this?
Well, it's not the first time I've seen specified doubts, so I thought I'd describe myself, how the everyday activities of the Life and household Centre and the Ordo Iuris Institute look like.
But before I do, I would like to thank all of you who support our activity “in the field”!
Every time, after the meeting, individual comes and thanks us for “we came all the way to them” with a deep gratitude and firm conviction that this would not be possible if it were not for the commitment of our Donors.
Your support is for thousands of parents, teachers, educators and local authorities from all over Poland!
Every week we visit 1 or 2 localities, very frequently in different parts of Poland. Of course, we plan our trips in advance and, if possible, "we will connect the cities". For example, if we are invited by Limanov and Dębica, then we organize 1 two-day trip, and we do not spend money to re-drive almost the same route.
The list of completed meetings increases, the list of meetings ahead – also! Every now and then, we receive invitations to another towns, sometimes even failing to keep up with the answer.
Who specifically invites us?
Parents wanting to hear what their children will encounter during “health” education classes and what they can do to defend them.
Teacherswho fear they will be forced to teach lessons with permissive sexual education.
Finally local authorities – which is very encouraging! – who organize specified meetings, inviting “unconvinced” to make them aware of the imminent threat.
What does it look like in practice?
I will mention to the beginning of the message and write: Not cool.. I think "cool" would be 1 of the last words I would like to specify this section of the Centre of Life and household work.
I assure you, this is simply a hard and time-consuming task.
We usually leave around noon, due to the fact that the meetings start at 17-18. We usually eat dinner on the way, sometimes erstwhile the gathering takes place in Mazowsze – we leave a small later and after a meal.
We've been driving for two, but... we're slow moving distant from this rule.. As I mentioned, the proposals for meetings are adequate that in order to get to all these places, it seems that we will gotta start driving 1 at a time.
On the road usually 1 leads, the another works – it responds to emails, analyzes, writes or... sleeps (yes, we are people, sometimes the head falls over the keyboard). And then the switch.
By the way, we talk: we summarize actions, we consider options for the future. Sometimes there is simply a real brainstorm – it may be hard to believe, but ideas for any fresh campaigns arise on the side roads.
The gathering takes an average of about 2.5-3 hours: first a presentation on wellness education, then a screening of the movie "It's nothing", at the end of the question and discussion. This last part seems to have no end many times.
We usually go home around 23 (not before), sometimes after midnight, sometimes around 2... The next day, we study to the office: the work is beyond measure, we cannot slow down, there are also tasks waiting for us!
This message is written to you just between your next trips...
But we're not just going to talk about educational problems.
Last week we were in 2 somewhat different meetings, from which I would like to study to you.
The first was a lecture for young people from the Old Oborvość pod Koscianem. We went there to make them aware of how harmful it is to form their character, forge strong will and build relationships is to abuse smartphones and social media.
This is the next – 3rd gathering with young people this year and I hope not the last. Like 2024 we intend to appear during the holidays at youth festivals with topics on virtual hygiene, threats from the internet, and besides about engagement in pro-life initiatives.
Finally, I share my joy with my visit to Vilnius, where thanks to your support, Sister Elżbietanka rebuilds after the flood the rehabilitation and care centre they run.
The inhabitants of another regions have most likely already forgotten last year's disaster, but in the areas where the water has spilled, this is not possible.
The Sisters work well. any of the destroyed rooms have already been restored. In addition, the Sisters purchased the essential materials and equipment, so shortly the repairs of the flooded laundry and another halls will begin.
Let me remind you that we shared PLN 170 000 with the Sisters, which you gave to aid them.
They have asked to always and at all possible minute thank you for your open hearts, which I hereby do:
The sisters thank you very much for your aid in renovating their centre, ensuring a kind memory and grateful prayer for your intentions!
Let me repeat: all these meetings, the good that is happening on them, would not have occurred without your financial support.
We do not have any price list, we do not set the rates (although specified questions fall) and we do not anticipate inviting organizers to pay any remuneration.
After all, all journey means specific, frequently advanced expenses for us, mainly fuel costs and car operation, sometimes besides accommodation and catering.
Finally, we come to each gathering with our materials: publications, albums or pictures. Their printing and preparation are, of course, very expensive. And slowly, our resources are shrinking, and we request to do extra printing!
Only this week we will be in Polkowice (conference at Jan Wyżykowski University) and Lublin (internal gathering with KUL students). On Sunday we show our movie in Niepokalanów, and in the following days we will discuss educational topics in Zakopane and Zduńska Wola.
All meetings are kept up-to-date on our social media – so I encourage you to follow them!
Thank you again for helping us do so much good together!
Greetings.
Marcin Perłowski
Director of the Life and household Centre
