The Commission found errors
On November 18, the State Election Commission rejected the Law and Justice accounts for 2023. This is equivalent to the failure of a subsidy of PLN 25.9 million per year. At the same time, during the same meeting, PKW examined the financial statements of Poland 2050 Szymon Holownia. The paper was accepted, but the committee raised objections to it.
The reservations afraid tiny contributions from donors. Poland 2050 accepted payments of PLN 100 in violation of the provisions of the Act on political parties due to the fact that it did not have full information about donors, and these funds were transferred to the State Treasury late. In addition, PKW indicated irregularities in the online records of contracts and payments in 2023.
In addition, the organization was not to reimburse another payment of PLN 5 thousand, which was incorrectly transferred to the Electoral Fund's account.
It's not the first time.
Poland 2050 had already had problems with its reports, which were not accepted either. In 2022, PKW rejected the party's first report. At the time, this group had not yet benefited from budget funds. This decision was challenged before the ultimate Court, but the court divided the committee’s position.
A akin situation occurred a year earlier, erstwhile the PKW rejected the financial study of the Simon Hołownia Committee from the presidential election, pointing to the illegal adoption of over PLN 201 thousand. The complaint to the ultimate Court was besides dismissed.
According to Polish MP and treasurer 2050, Łukasz Osmalak, PKW's doubts about the 2021 study were due to the functioning of the 3 pillars of the organization: the institute, associations and parties whose interlinkages the committee found unacceptable. The organization disagrees with this interpretation. Osmalak points out that in the following years the remarks of the PCW afraid mainly insignificant shortcomings, not serious errors.
The current grant of Poland 2050, which is received by it, is PLN 7.5 million annually.
