– possibly it's naive thinking, but I want to change politics, and I wouldn't want her to change me. I even made a resolution – I wrote a letter to myself in 4 years – in a sincere conversation, says the youngest MP of the 10th word of the Sejm Adam Gomola from the 3rd Way.

Did your parents buy you a place on the list? "GW" informed about more than 50 1000 zlotys transferred to the Simon Holownia party.

Adam Gomola: My parents paid PLN 50,000 to the 3rd Way election committee, believing that these elections would be the most crucial after 1989. They donated their money from moving a household business to my campaign. It wasn't from the state budget, and my parents don't work in Treasury companies either. They are entrepreneurs who thought that democracy should be supported.

So what was the order: first you got an "1" on the 3rd Road list and then your parents supported the 3rd Way election committee?

In August, I was declared number 1 on the Polish 3rd Road list, and only in September did the payments come in. In this text, "Electoral Newspaper"

Michał Kobosko has denied that my 1 is to be dependent on the support of my parents.

What do you gotta do to get ahead of experienced local governments at the age of 24 and get the 1 on the list?

Consistently working. And believe. I've been working with this squad for 3 years. It was known that it was an organization without subsidies, with shortages of staff, without support in local governments. Many thought it was crazy. We survived. In 2021, I entered the four-man board of this organization in my region. People forming the Opolskie structures were not amazed by my first place on the list.

What have you been doing these 3 years to gain an "A"?

This was primarily a question of building structures. I went to the board, frequently went to Warsaw, talked to our representatives in the capital.

Talk, talk, talk. And that's with people in the region, and that's with competitors or local governments. It was for 2 years. Then the organization got tied up. I became her press secretary in Opole. I started preparing for my run on

early 2023.

Did you already know that you were going to run?

Yeah, but I didn't know where. It wasn't until August.

Simon Holovnia came and said, "We're serious about young people, we're giving you one?"

Revealing the secret – it was the decision of the full board. She got ahead of a fewer conversations. But with all certainty, no 1 has always negotiated with me a place on the list in exchange for money.

And if a young man wanted to enter politics with a head full of ideas, a passion for work, a sense of mission, but no run money, does he have a chance?

Small, you can't do a run without money. Unfortunately. I knew it, that's why

I devoted the first part of 2023 mostly to fundraising activities. That's how I got half the funding. Besides, there's a full know-how. In my campaign, we were besides wandering in the fog for moments. We had no tools for

evaluation, we made decisions on an ongoing basis.

But money alone isn't adequate if you don't run from the right place. Many parties claim to be betting on young people and then giving them far places on the lists, due to the fact that the most crucial ones are old activists. Those who are known in the region and are capable of force politics. another parties say that they bet on young people, and Poland 2050 truly is

She did.

Mr President, can you run and enter politics without money?

More crucial than property is determination.

But this is simply a longer way through youth, self-government?

I think so. I think I surely would not have won this mandate without having worked 3 years solidly in structures. There must be any preparation. I've never been to a youth school, not interested.

I thought you weren't reasoning about politics.

I was curious in her, but I had no idea...

Then what makes you think to go to politics?

It was politics that came to me. Simon Holovnia inspired me. But it's besides a substance of seeing this strategy work badly and it's inactive concrete. I felt that this was the last election erstwhile there was inactive a real choice. Either we change Poland to a country where the social contract is respected and the elite is not above the law, or

I'm moving out of here and looking for happiness somewhere else.

That was the minute I said: I want to aid this guy (Simon Holownia – ed.). I voted for him first, and then I liked the shape.

He's taking that move. That's erstwhile I decided to go in. By the beginning of this year, I didn't think I'd be running. It was another conversation where I heard, "Adam, you gotta take off, you do a good job, we see you in parliament."

It was damn hard: no money, no experience, no government support. But I had a feeling people were with me.

But you had your parents' support, financial support.

Except my parents never got active in politics. Mom doesn't care about her at all, Dad's going through portals erstwhile in a while.

Aren't they proud?

I'm certain they're proud.

After all, you had more votes than Janusz Kowalski, Marcelina Zawisza and small little than Witold Zembachinski. The competition praises you for being so hardworking,

Ingenious.

On 12 MPs from Opole, I had a 5th score. It feels great. 22,000 people put a cross by my name and thought I was the individual who had them

represent in parliament. That's over 1/3 of National Stadium. Wow!

It's a wonderful feeling, but it's besides a burden of large responsibility.

Yeah, parents are proud. A arrogant brother is besides very helpful in my campaign. I think I have quite a few luck in my life.

You had a better start, your parents were financially supportive – many of them are stinging in the eyes.

Should I apologize for that? reasoning that you can become 1 to the Parliament for 50 1000 PLN, which is

The equivalent of 4 months of parliamentary wage is naive. If it were that simple, I think more people would decide to run. I'm not super-rich, I've lived in a block most of my life...

Are you starting to explain yourself?

People think I'm very wealthy, although I went to public simple school, to public junior high, I went to stationary colleges. For 5 years, I lived in a area of 13 square meters. Of course, I besides know that I have more luck in my life than many others.

So you're saying you're not in luxury?

I'm not.

According to your property statement, you have almost PLN 100 1000 in savings.

From the same statement, I don't have an apartment, I drive a car that's almost older than me. I don't spend much. I don't wear costly clothes. I started.

Work at 15. I've been active for almost 10 years. I saved little than 100 1000 zlotys. There's nothing incorrect with being a farmer.

You spoke of the hard situation of students, representatives of generation Z.

Because she's difficult. I wasn't talking about my situation, I was talking about statistics. I'm not in the Parliament to represent my interests, I'm in the interests of my constituents.

I am besides affected by the price, and the issue of combating it and costly hiring is not only crucial for young people.

Where did you make that money?

I started earning from the age of 15, first as a football judge. Later on, I took care of finance in my family's company, worked in part

strategic and developmental. It got me active in the campaign. Now I've become an MP, I'm going to devote myself to this work 100%.

How did you feel erstwhile you found out it worked?

First of all, I was relieved. And pride erstwhile I saw the final score. The pride of his work and the work of his team. I was glad to have the Law and Justice removed from power and the phenomenal result of the 3rd Way.

During my vows, I realized that nothing in my life would always be the same. I felt like I was in front of everybody. It was a very crucial minute for me. I'm very curious to see how I'm going to change over these 4 years as a human being.

They say politics is dirty and nobody changes for the better.

Exactly. possibly it's naive thinking, but I want to change politics, and I wouldn't want her to change me. I even made myself a resolution—

I wrote myself a letter in 4 years.

What did you write?

I wrote about my perspective, what I expect, where I'll be in 4 years. I hid it. I have an alarm clock set on my calendar and in October 2027 I will open it and read it.

Aren't you afraid you'll be disappointed?

But we have already managed to change something, we have voted in favour of the citizens' in vitro project. Of course, I let myself to think that I'm an idealist, so I can go for a ride, burn. I'm not gonna tell you now if I'm gonna run for next election. I don't know. possibly I will find that politics is not for me. I made an appointment with the voters for 4 years of hard work, and that's what I'm going to deliver.

Have you been practicing your first speech?

I didn't have time. There are quite a few responsibilities: launching the parliamentary office, media activities, reading and coordinating all these laws. At 3:00 a.m.

I finished writing, and I read it on the bus on the way to the Sejm.

Did something surprise you at the Sejm? I heard you said it was a small like simple school.

Listening to these comments and shouting, it's hard not to get that impression. I thought there were serious people in the Sejm and they'd behave decently. A

At times, what you hear from these benches...

What do you hear?

Like, "Youth, sit down." Nothing on the subject. These ad personam attacks are very weak.

You turned to Marshal Holownia and he stood up for you.

Right. I asked him to intervene. I didn't want to gotta scream.

Does he piss you off erstwhile you get your age?

I know how old I am, and I know I'm clearing paths in the Seym that haven't been wiped. I guess I'm just gonna gotta get a small dressed up with these invectors, even though I'm not gonna point them out.

It started with the Z gene.

Yeah, Jay-Z, gene Z. I think it was an crucial speech. It clearly outlined the diagnosis of the situation: a leap in cost increase for the youngest, for the people just entering

Adulthood. Their most striking is this expensive, rising rental prices. It triggered a reaction.

In the evening of the day, there were entries on the X portal, in which 3 things were dropped. These were conjectures of the writer in Poland.pl, dependent on the means of waiving

Powers, which were based on the article "New Opole Tribune", which in turn belonged to both Polish Press Group. This text contains anonymous information that my place on the list is dependent on my parents.

Do you take that personally?

For 4 years I've worked as a football judge, and I've already been talking about myself, my family.

I listened, but what happened this week, entries on the X portal – this is simply a different scale. Yeah, it hit me, but I know I can't let them break me. It's not hard to figure out what my weaknesses are, so it's understandable they're trying to hit them. And I'm more of a fighter, so they won't have easy with me.

So what are your weaknesses?

Apart from the sensitivity to ageism? For example, the fact that I start quite a few things and then, for deficiency of time, not all of them win in getting to the end.

During your vows, you added, "So aid me God." Isn't that contrary to the separation of the sacrum from the profanum, the state from the Church?

No, due to the fact that it was my vow. But being a associate is simply a hard profession. It's worth asking for everyone's help. Please, family, loved ones...

...that and God, please?

Yeah. I'll take aid from any side. I'm a believer.

And the cross in your office would you hang?

At home, yes, in the parliamentary office – no. It's a place where everyone – regardless of religion – is expected to feel good.

Would you vote for an abortion?

Question is, what does that mean?

Back to the 1993 compromise, or the liberalisation of abortion proposed by the Left?

Surely the 1993 compromise must be immediately restored. And in the second step, I believe that this must be given to citizens for a decision.

So you're not going to vote for abortion until 12 weeks without a cause?

For me, abortion cannot be a substitute for contraception. Abortion – contrary to what any are trying to say – is not ok. He is always a choice between lesser and greater evil. But you must not force anyone to be heroic either, and that is the case now and this must be terminated immediately.

I would like to see a referendum, as in Ireland. The Irish besides faced a very restrictive abortion law for decades. In 2018 they wrote out a referendum and worked out solutions – abortion on request up to 12 weeks pregnant. The will of citizens does not should be in line with my values. I was talking about it during the campaign.

But you besides said that women's rights are crucial to you.

They are. Abortion is 1 of them. Another is in vitro access. Next are: a set of refunded prenatal studies for all women, the right to epidural anaesthesia during childbirth, wage differences.

What about partners?

I'm all for it. It is absurd that we do not have this in Poland yet.

What about matrimony equality?

In my opinion, partnerships solve 95% of the ambition of non-heteronormatives. matrimony in Poland is associated with the sacrum sphere, it is not hard to know what kind of social opposition this would raise. Let's get married first.

partner.

Who's your political function model?

I would very much like to say that Simon Holovnia, due to the fact that I know how this sounds. But the fact is, by watching him, listening, I take on many patterns, even involuntaryly following him.

You said 95 percent agreed with him. What issues do you disagree on?

For example, on atomic power. I have the impression that Simon Holovnia is more conservative in this subject, and I am powerfully proatomic.

What do you care most about this parliamentary term?

I would like a well-functioning state to make anyone increasing up enter it with equal opportunities.

Do you think it's real? We're all leaving another house.

This is real in a functioning state, with an education strategy where parents don't spend PLN 6 billion a year on tutoring to fill holes. Access

to higher education, dorms. They survey those who can either afford it or those who have families in large cities.

Another issue: access to daycare, access to collective communication. Today, it's not working, but it's gonna work. I'm free market, but today

You truly request to add to education, wellness care. Otherwise, everything will fall.

Windmill Act, which you signed (talking to 1.12 – ed.). They point out to you that your parents' company is involved.

My parents run a company classified as a "small enterprise." If any tiny enterprise in Poland had the chance to proceed

It would be a political planet championship. My parents' company has never built and will most likely not build wind farms or photovoltaic farms. The rules that are now regulated do not apply to this company at all.

But windmills are expected to be 300 metres from the buildings.

They won't stand.

Right now, it's a bill written by lobbyists.

Bullshit. The bill contains errors, we will correct them. This task has its origin in the values we discussed during and before the campaign. Then no 1 tied us to any lobbyists.

Don't your parents head that they're on the candlestick?

I talked to them about possible consequences before I became active in politics. I had to consult with them due to the fact that I knew I didn't.

Only the media will be curious in them, but the increased "interested" can show even the taxation officials to hit my family.

But I'm the household that has specified perseverance, opposition to certain things. Mine

Great-grandfather Jan Gomola and his 7 sons at the beginning of the war went to Buchenwald. He returned from the concentration camp at the age of 70. Nobody died. specified strong genes. That's what I saw with my dad, who said, "Let them effort us.

break, we can handle them." And I have specified a fighter soul.
