The Ivan Wyhowski Prize and Staża na Nagrodowa were presented!

On 21 May 2024, the ceremony of awarding the Ivan Wyhowski Prize under the honorary patronage of the president of the Republic of Poland was held at the legislature Hall of the Kazimierz Palace University of Warsaw. The ceremony was traditionally led by the manager of SEW UW Jan Malicki and CEO of UW Sambor Grucz.

During the ceremony Mr Marcin Łapczyński – a delegate of the president of Poland to the Chapter read the letter of the president of Poland Andrzej Duda.

This year's Winner was Prof. Maryna Palienko from Kiev.

The laureate of the Ivan Wyhowski Prize, from the scope of widely understood humanities, receives the anticipation of one-year technological stay at 6 Polish universities visited successively, where he can give lectures on topics related to the past or contemporaryity of Ukraine and the region, Polish-Ukrainian relations, as well as undertake his own archival and investigation works.

In addition to the Main Award, which is the anticipation of an yearly technological stay at 6 Polish universities visited successively, internships at the Award were besides presented, allowing a 4-month investigation stay at 2 Polish universities. Traineeship winners in 2024 were:

  • Dr. Iulia Gerny of Kiev,
  • Dr. Maria Hilmutdinova of Nicholasov,
  • Dr. Taras Hutsol of the Podolski Stone,
  • Vasil Kaminskyi from Lviv,
  • Dr. Oksana Koshulko of Cherkas,
  • Dr. Iryna Kosetska of Ostrog,
  • Dr. Andria Kutsyk of Lutsk,
  • Dr. Vitalia Omelianenko of Sum,
  • Dr. Olena Sizonenko from Chernihova.
