Over the past decades, middle- and senior-generation voters have decided to win the election, so people with more conservative views. Among another things, PO-PiS has been able to regulation for 20 years.

However, the situation is changing slowly. Not only by demography, but besides by modern media. Television, let alone the press, is losing, or actually losing to social media, where young people dominate among authors and audiences.

Expectations for Change

These young people are reportedly not reasoning about the past, hence they are little curious in the amount of future pensions and more about the amount of current taxes. But that's not true. erstwhile protests broke out in early 2023 in France due to an extension of the retirement age from 62 to 64 years, most of the more than 1 million protesters in Paris were young and very young who would quit in about 40 years.

In the parliamentary elections in Poland in 2023, 28% voted for the civilian Coalition, 18 for the Left, and 16 for the 3rd Road and Confederation. The PiS in this age category convinced only 15 percent of voters.

But already this year, during the presidential election, everything changed. In the first round, as many as 35 percent of young people voted for Sławomir Mentzen, 20 percent for Adrian Zandberg, and small more than 10 for Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki.

This was due to the fact that Mentzen and Zandberg were expressive politicians who had not participated in the regulation so far. Karol Nawrocki is an even more expressive politician today, as he showed during the 100 days of office and now his score in this age category would most likely be even better.

Young people are sick of Kaczyński and Tusk, who are at the age of their fathers and sometimes their grandparents. They do not want orders and prohibitions, which are increasingly imposed not only by Brussels, but besides by all governments after 2007.
