Following the resignation of the erstwhile Prime Minister of Lithuania, a fresh government coalition was established there. It turns out that it is composed of Polish politicians. Here are the details.


At the end of July of that year, the Lithuanian Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas resigned. All in connection with a loud scandal in which the head of government has abandoned corruption.

In the following weeks, Inga Ruginiene was appointed Prime Minister. A fresh government coalition was formed, consisting of 4 seismic groups: the Lithuanian Social Democratic organization (LSDP), the Niemno Świt, the Association of Farmers, Greens (LVŻS) and the Union of Christian Families (AWPL-ZChR). And it is the last of these parties that has a Polish accent.

Let us add that according to the LSDP coalition agreement will direct 9 resorts, Niemna Dawn received 3 resorts, the Association of Farmers and Greens and the Polish Election Action in Lithuania – Christian Union Families will have 2 ministries to divide.

According to the announcements, the Polish organization in Lithuania will receive the Ministry of Justice. However, the president of the formation Waldemar Tomaszewski did not want to comment on the issues of positions.

He simply recalled that this was not the first time that AWPL-ZCHR was part of the coalition. This was besides the case in 2000, 2006 and 2016. Tomaszewski emphasized that his current MPs: Rita Tamaszuniene, Jarosław Narkiewicz and Czesław Olszewski "are experienced politicians who have been working in the Sejm for respective terms of office, and have besides held managerial positions in ministries".
