Musical “Columbs of All Time” – Warsaw, August 1, 2024

On the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, the Institute of National Memory invites the Columbuses of all time to the musical, which will be held on 1 August 2024 at 8:00 p.m. in the church of St Stanislaus BM (the parish of St Wojciech) in Warsaw Wola. Free!
The Musical Columbuses of all time tell about the Warsaw Uprising from the point of view of artists participating in it. During the war, in the face of the threat of freedom, creative forces were unleashed among them, and art became a weapon.
It is hard to believe that during the uprising respective twelve poems and songs were written, more than 50 phase meetings were organized with actors and singers, respective puppet theatre performances for children, many concerts of distinguished composers, respective 100 broadcasts of Polish Radio and radio station AK "Błyskawica", more than 150 insurgent press titles were issued, respective colour posters were designed and printed, a series of postage stamps, thousands of eagles and various emblems. respective 100 drawings and portraits were besides made and 15,000 metres of movie tape was shot. More than 10 1000 were preserved in the phytography itself documenting the events of the uprising.
During the event, Columbuses of all time will hear stories of specified artists and creators as: Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński, Tadeusz Gajcy, Wacław Zdziarski, Stanisław Ryszard Dobrowolski, Kornel Makuszinski, Jan Brzechwa, Henryk Jerzy Chmielewski, Jan Ekier, Janusz Kozłowski, Hanna Brzezińska, Krystyna Krahelska, Seweryn Kruszinski, Mieczysław Fogg, Leon Schiller, Mira Ziminska.
The performance will be performed by a children-youth band composed of participants of summertime music workshops in Tarczyn.
