The United States believes that Russia's concerns about extending NATO to the east are "justified". General Keith Kellogg, peculiar Envoy of president Donald Trump, expressed his willingness to discuss this with Moscow.
"Russia will always rise this issue. They're not just talking about Ukraine. They besides mention Georgia and Moldova. We answer them: well, we can discuss stopping NATO's expansion to your borders. These are their safety interests." The final decision, as the General stated, will be owned by Donald Trump.
Kellogg added that Washington does not support joining Ukraine in the North Atlantic Alliance: “We have frequently said that Ukraine's membership of NATO is not on our agenda. We're not the only country that thinks that. I can list 4 more countries that are of the same opinion. And it is essential that all 32 associate States agree to accept a fresh member."
