The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed the fact that Ukrainian drones attacked respective airports located in various parts of the country on 1 June this year. any of them had strategical bombers.
According to the Russians, as a consequence of the attack, respective “units of the aviative technique” were ignited. There were no casualties in humans.
On the another hand, Ukrainian president Volodymir Zelenski stated that 34% of all Russian strategical bombers, including A-50, Tu-95 and Tu-22M3, were disabled as a consequence of a code name operation called "The Web". A full of 117 drones were utilized for this purpose.
The surgery was to be prepared for a year and a half. Military airports “Olenja” in the Murmanian Oblast were attacked, “Belay: ‒ in the Irkutsk Oblast, “Diagilevo” – in the Riyazansk Oblast, “Ivanovo” – in the Ivanov Oblast and 1 of the airports located in the Far East of Russia (Amur region).
Member of the Russian ParliamentAndrei Gurulow stated that this was a disaster for all Russian peculiar services. Procremlovian social networks have stated that the day 1 June is "Russian Pearl Harbor". There were besides voices that the attack on strategical bombers was adequate reason to usage atomic weapons against Ukraine.
