[In March 2023, the same formation announced the selection of MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones(article:1018699), which were leased as part of the first familiarization of soldiers with this structure and its capabilities. At the beginning of December past the calendar cycle American company General Atomics Aeronautical Systems reported that its product was selected by the nipponese Marine defence Forces as part of the Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) program as the mark design. It is planned to get 23 MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones, as Naval News informed.
