174 PLN for the elder private, 201 PLN for the sergeant, and 240 PLN for the captain – that is what the regular basic wage rates for the day of service for non-professional soldiers are to be. The changes concern, among others, soldiers of the active reserve and territories. Work on the amendment of the Regulation is ongoing, and the rules are to apply from 1 July this year.
Non-professional soldiers are, for example, those who are called into the army for military exercises, serving in an active reserve and territorial defence soldiers serving as rotational service. For each day of their stay in the military, they receive alleged regular allowances. By the end of 2022, their amount depended on the lowest wage of a professional soldier. Since January last year, for all day spent in the army, a soldier has received a fixed quota, dependent on his military degree. Currently, after January increases of PLN 11 for each degree, the regular amount is e.g. for the older Private PLN 146, Ensign PLN 191, and Lieutenant PLN 221.
Now the stakes are about to emergence again. A draft regulation has already been drawn up in the Ministry of Defence. According to the regular document, they will be increased from 7.5 to almost 20%. As the representatives of the MON justify, respective factors have been taken into account in the work on the fresh table on the salaries of non-professional soldiers. “This is, among another things, the deficiency of public-law burdens on salaries, including the deficiency of taxation and the absence of wellness contributions,” they inform.
The task is in the interministerial consultation phase. If the proposals are accepted unchanged, as early as July for each day in the military, non-professional soldiers will receive more money. Compared to the rates presently in force in the serial corps, the increase will be between 16.8% and 19.9%. In practice, the regular allowance will amount to: for the serial – 169 zł (now it is 141 zł), the older serial – 174 zł (146 zł), and for the older serial specialist – 182 zł (156 zł). The officers will receive more by 10.3% to 19.7%. The corporal will be able to number on a regular wage of PLN 193 (PLN 161), plutonium – PLN 198 (PLN 171), and Ensign – PLN 216 (PLN 191).
In the case of officers, the rise will scope a maximum of 7.5%. The rate for the lieutenant is to be 235 zł (221 zł) and for the major to be 251 zł (246 zł). From the rank of Lt. Col., the amount of the regular allowance will stay unchanged. The lieutenant colonel will inactive be able to number on 281 PLN per day spent in the military, the colonel will receive 331 PLN and the Brigadier General will receive 371 PLN.
It is worth reminding that in the case of territorialists, money for participation in exercises is only part of their salaries. They besides receive the alleged combat supplement. According to Home defence Act its amount depends on the professional's wage and is set at not little than 10% of the lowest wage of the basic professional soldier. The allowance is granted to any TSW soldier who meets the alleged training minimum. In practice, it is simply a participation in at least 2 days of training per period or another tasks specified by the military. Since the fresh year this allowance is PLN 600.
