Mateusz Morawiecki in a letter dated 5 September abandoned part of the management of the Law and Justice Office to take over the erstwhile Solidarne language of Poland and to close the organization in an increasingly narrow electorate. He announced nearly 400 improvement Plus meetings since 15 October and the construction of the election program in 2027. For the Polish right hand it is simply a public beginning of the fight for direction and leadership.
Close to 400 meetings from 15 October
Mateusz Morawiecki sent a nine-page letter to supporters of improvement Plus, in which he announced the beginning of a fresh phase of his environment. The most circumstantial announcement concerns the "marathon 15 October". Former Prime Minister planned nearly 400 meetings across Poland, from large cities to tiny towns. The meetings are to be utilized to prepare the programme.
The date is deliberate. The action is to start precisely 3 years after the 2023 parliamentary elections and 1 year before the next. Morawiecki thus wants to argue Donald Tusk's government with his own economic, social and state offer. The letter puts the choice sharply: improvement or crash.
This is besides a consequence to the allegation that improvement Plus is solely the basis for the individual ambitions of the erstwhile Prime Minister. Hundreds of meetings can give this environment a territorial rooting. However, the defence of the acquis cannot turn into a convenient self-portrait. The right has lost power, even though the PiS was the biggest party. It lacked coalition ability, maintaining the assurance of part of the mediate class and a clear settlement of its own mistakes. Morawiecki admits in his letter that not everything has been done perfectly, but for the time being, more space is devoted to accomplishments than responsibilities.
Public finance dispute and draft budget for 2027 gives him a strong subject against the Tusk government. The credibility of this criticism will depend on showing its own figures and costs alternatively than the password itself. Poles request a state that invests and protects families, but does not shift the bill to the next generation.
