MON announced on 7 September that in the coming days, long-range fire capability investigating will take place in Poland, reaching 1000 kilometres. Residents are to receive peculiar messages. The hotel has not yet given the agenda or location of the trials, so any authoritative alert must be taken seriously, without panic and speculation.

Long-range fire tests

The deputy chief of the MON Cezary Tomczyk informed during the presentation at the camp in Nowa Dęba that in the coming days, peculiar tests will be carried out in Poland for harm up to 1000 kilometres. He besides announced messages to residents and called on the media to spread the warning. At the time of the announcement of this information, the ministry did not supply the public with precise deadlines, locations or types of weapons being checked.

This deficiency of item requires information discipline. The informing of the ability to fire 1,000 kilometers does not mean that missiles will fly across the country. This information has not been provided by MON. Poles should be based on messages from the Ministry, the Government safety Centre and the applicable offices, ignoring anonymous entries and sensational recordings without confirmation.

Weapons show in fresh Oak

The announcement came during a presentation preceding the 34th global Defence manufacture Exhibition in Kielce. The MON management watched the collaboration of armored troops, mechanized, artillery, reconnaissance and anti-aircraft defense. The show featured, among another things, the conflict Infantry Corps Borsuk, the Krab cannonhaubice, the Cancer mortars, F-16 aircraft and AH-64 Apache helicopters.

The military besides presented FlyEye, Warmate and Gladius systems, FPV drones, and combating unmanneds with tiny arms, Rosomak transporters, Poprad and Lightning kits. This summary shows that modern defence requires a combination of dense equipment, designation and inexpensive unmanned systems. DN has already described Polish solutions utilizing artificial intelligence for the militarywhich are besides expected to hit MSPO.

From buying to Own Production

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz argued in Nowa Dęba that Poland is to control from buyer to maker and arms exporter. More than 20 countries attended the presentation. The guest of honor was the Minister of Defence of Slovakia Robert Kaliíčk.

The show itself is not enough. Defence sovereignty begins in the factory, part warehouse and national service. Tomczyk pointed out that during the war it may not be possible to send damaged equipment to the another side of the world. Poland so needs rights to repair, manufacture of ammunition and developed supply chains in its own territory. A good example are tests of a 155 mm Polish caliber bulletwhose production can strengthen national artillery capabilities.

Range is important, but the full strategy counts

The ability to influence the distance of 1000 kilometres extends the field of deterrence and allows to cut targets far from the Polish border. Its real value, however, depends on the recognition, communication, supply of effectors, defence of own launchers and command procedures. The number itself sounds strong. However, without national industrial facilities, it will stay an costly slogan.

Poles finance the modernization of the army and have the right to know whether the equipment purchased will be ready to fight, serviced in the country and supplied with ammunition by Polish factories. The upcoming tests should check the actual abilities, not just service the spectacle before the fair. State safety and resilience in the first days of the crisis are at stake.
