On August 6, erstwhile Prime Minister Leszek Miller did not appear at the swearing-in of Karol Nawrocki, arguing his absence by demanding a recalculation of the votes. His first weeks of public speaking were very negative. At that time, the erstwhile Prime Minister openly supported Rafał Trzaskowski.

However, he now speaks of the fresh president with appreciation and asked by the “Super Express” for any support in future elections, without hesitation declaring that he could vote for him. However, this support will depend on Nawrocki gathering respective conditions:

If it does not change in its conduct, if it emphasizes the importance of Poland in the first place, if it does not repeat that we are a servant of Ukraine, but will want to build our relations on a partnership basis, then yes, I can vote for it - Miller said.

Two objections

Miller besides mentioned the biggest reservations about Nawrock's presidency during the interview.

I will only constantly be disturbed by his attitude towards the European Union. He said. – He's highly skeptical. The second point is that veto is besides frequent and that the most crucial individual in Poland is the president and not the President.

Nawrocki will disown Kaczyński?

Leszek Miller besides assessed during the discussion that Jarosław Kaczyński's decision to present Karol Nawrocki in the election may prove to be unfavorable for the president of the Law and Justice Office. According to the erstwhile Prime Minister, Nawrocki's position will gradually strengthen, while Kaczyński's importance will weaken, which may lead to a situation where Nawrocki will become the main figure on the right.

Miller besides referred to the possible re-election of the current president. In his opinion, Nawrocki, preparing for the next campaign, will face the request to choose 1 of 2 ways: either take control of the Law and become his actual or formal leader, or make his own political facilities, which are competitive for the party, with the engagement of any of its activists.
