In fresh years, the discussion on migration in Poland is increasingly intense. According to data provided by the national Police of Germany, in 2024 more than 10 1000 migrants were pushed into Poland through the western border. This information was confirmed by erstwhile Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who organised a press conference in Suwałki on illegal migration.
Morawiecki stressed that illegal migrants are a problem that affects not only Poland, but besides the full of Europe. He added that as Vice president of the Law and Justice, he wanted to guarantee that Poles and Poles were safe in their country. Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of Germany, and German officials confirm that the German authorities pushed more than 10 000 migrants into Poland in 2024.
The Center for the Integration of Foreigners is an initiative aimed at supporting immigrants in adaptation to life in our country. 49 specified facilities are to be established in Poland, and 3 in Podlaskie Voivodeship: in Białystok, Łomża and Suwałki. According to the plans, the centre is to be built at the Concatery of St. Alexander in Suwałki, on property belonging to the Diocese of Elecka.
Suwałk residents protest the center's uprising, claiming that illegal migrants change culture, national identity and violate city security. The councillors in February adopted a resolution in which they adopted a position against the establishment of specified a centre.
Numeric data:
* Over 10 000 migrants were pushed into Poland in 2024

Current Data:
According to data from 2022, Poland accepted over 1.5 million refugees from Ukraine. Prime Minister Tusk stated that closing the border with Germany and restoring the situation before entering the European Union was unnecessary and would hit the interests of average people.
The Dublin III Regulation is an EU treaty work which states that if individual registers with individual as a migrant, asylum-seeker and then drives to another country, the another country has the right to turn him back. Prime Minister Tusk reported that Poland would not implement these points of the treaty, due to the number of refugees admitted from Ukraine and migration force on the east border.
It is worth noting that migration is simply a comprehensive problem that affects not only Poland, but besides the full of Europe. The discussion should be conducted honestly and constructively, taking into account all facts and data.
