Migration divided Poland? We know the poll results

The vast majority of Poles argue the admission of migrants – according to the latest opinion24 poll for RMF FM. As many as 75% of respondents are against the EU solidarity mechanism, which requires Poland to accept visitors from another countries. peculiarly negative attitudes are shown by voters of Law and Justice and the Confederation, where the percent of opponents of migration is as advanced as 93%.

Society says no to migrants

The survey shows that opposition to the admission of migrants dominates all age and social group. The top opposition was recorded among men (78%), but besides 73% of women do not want migrants in Poland.

The answers to the question of the EU solidarity mechanics are as follows:

  • 51 percent is definitely against,
  • 24 percent is rather against,
  • 5 percent has no opinion,
  • 15 percent is I think it's for,
  • 5 percent is definitely for.

Political breakdown on migrants

The most opposed to migration are voters of Law and Justice and the Confederation – as much as 93 percent of them argue its adoption. In the 3rd Way electorate, the negative attitude is 62% of respondents, and among fresh Left voters 53 percent.

Interestingly, even among the sympathizers of the Civic Coalition there is no clear advantage of supporters of migration. 48% of respondents are in favour of receiving migrants and 46% are against them. In the organization Together the score is almost tied – 44% “for”, 43% “against”.

Aversion to migrants is due to a survey

The survey clearly shows that there are far more opponents of migration in Poland than its supporters. Even in the youngest group (18-29 years), only 21% of migrants are positive.

Is this the beginning of a fresh approach to migration policy? The poll results clearly indicate what Poles expect.
