The draft amendment of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which aims to introduce a fresh preventive measurement in the form of electronic detention**, was included in the list of legislative and programming work of the Council of Ministers. The paper assumes that electronic detention will become a fresh form of imprisonment, but carried out outside the investigative detention – at the whereabouts of the accused.
