Sławomir Mentzen never lets anyone forget. Yesterday, he announced that on Tuesday at noon he would announce a decision to support the 2nd circular of the presidential election. Meanwhile, this morning... he invited Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski to talk on his YouTube channel.
"There is no better way to convince myself of my constituents than to appear on my social media. My constituents don't watch your TV, they don't buy your media propaganda. They usage social media, they watch my stuff. If you care about their voices, convince them to each other," he proposed.
He added that during the interview he would ask both candidates "to sign a declaration according to the expectations of his constituents". The paper contains 8 points:
1. I will not sign any bill that raises existing taxes, contributions, fees or introduces fresh fiscal burdens.
2. I will not sign any law limiting cash turnover and will stand defender against Polish gold.
3. I will not sign any law limiting the freedom of expression in accordance with the Polish Constitution.
4. I will not let Polish soldiers to be sent to Ukraine.
5. I will not sign the Act on ratification of Ukraine's accession to NATO.
6. I will not sign any law limiting Poles' access to weapons.
7. I will not agree to transfer any powers of the authorities of the Republic of Poland to the bodies of the European Union.
8. I will not sign ratification of any fresh EU treaties weakening Poland's role, e.g. by weakening the vote or taking distant the right of veto.
Mentzen invites Trzaskowski and Nawrocki before the 2nd round. There's a policy response.
– It is simply a serious candidate and a serious offer due to the fact that it wants to talk about the future of Poland before giving authoritative support. Many of his constituents have already appeared at my meetings. This is simply a concrete offer and a good direction. I should talk to the leader of the Confederation," said Karol Nawrocki at the Tuesday press conference, referring to this proposal.
Rafał Trzaskowski in the Sejm was besides asked about her erstwhile he went to a gathering with Marshal Simon Holovnia, who supported him in the 2nd circular on Sunday. “Let me talk to Marshal Holovnia first,” signed the Citizen Coalition candidate briefly in an interview with journalists.
