Mentzen got mad. “Do what you think, not what Tusk says on TV”

Confederation leader Sławomir Mentzen demanded a public apology from Deputy talker of the Sejm for the Polish People's organization Piotr Zgorzelski.

The dispute concerns the statements of PSL policy on Polsat television, in which he attributed Mentzen words allegedly urging him to get cryptocurrency. The Vice Marshal then quoted a message allegedly made by a Confederate Member:

“Don’t believe Tusk that cryptocurrency will rob you of theft or Russian mafia! It's Tusk propaganda! Nothing like this will happen! Buy Bitcoin.”

Sławomir Mentzen rejected this version in an entry published on the X platform, indicating the false attribution of the conviction to him:

“Marshal Zgorzelski is insolently lying. Those are not my words. I never encouraged you to buy Bitcoin. I always say it's very risky and everyone has to decide what they invest in."

"I request an apology for the lies you said present in Polsata. I never utilized the words you attributed to me."

Assigned to the leader of the Confederacy, the quote derives from the social media entry on SokZBurak's profile, where a fragment of the recording was published Mentzena with an ironic description of the authors of the site:

"And so Mentzen encouraged to invest in cryptocurrency: – do not believe Tusk that cryptocurrency will rob you, that it is theft or the Russian mafia; it is Tusk propaganda, nothing like this will happen: buy bitcoins."

In the actual video, entitled "Russian cryptocurrency from Tusk", published in December 2025 in the course of the debate on the cryptoactive law, MP Mentzen presented another position on investment risk:

“Don’t let that stupid Tusk propaganda get you, don’t let it get you wrong. It's evidently risky, I'm not encouraging anyone to invest in cryptocurrency, it's your money, your risk. Do what you think, not what Tusk says on TV.”
