On Friday, July 25, the president of Law and Justice presented the alleged "Polish Declaration", which would form the basis for a possible alliance with the Confederation. Jarosław Kaczyński admitted that this is an open invitation to the coalition for a political syndicate to the right of the PiS. The reactions in the Confederacy were mixed. The leader of the conservative-liberal wing, Sławomir Mentzen, spoke most powerfully about the proposal of the Law and Justice. "It is the Law and Justice that needs the Confederacy, not the Confederation of Law and Justice," pointed out the erstwhile presidential candidate.
Before the weekend – on Friday, July 25, Jarosław Kaczyński presented a ten-point “Polish Declaration” in which he made respective key demands of Law and Justice. "If this declaration was accepted, it would truly be a platform where it could be completed and in this area," Kaczyński said in consequence to the question of whether it was an open invitation from the Confederate to the coalition.
What about the leaders of the right-wing alliance of the National Movement and fresh Hope? Confederate vice-chair Michael Wawer estimated that the formation “agreed with most points”, while pointing out the hypocrisy of Kaczyński, as he felt that the president of the Law and Justice Office had been conducting a policy of mass immigration and submission to the European Union for many years.
The head of the Confederate club Grzegorz Płaczek referred in a conversation with PAP only to the last point of the declaration – “living by law alternatively than by goods”. He found him “surprising”.
"This is simply a slogan that has so far come from the utmost communist left. State housing is simply a simple way to grow a giant budget hole. The marketplace needs to be freed and it is easier for citizens and businesses to build apartments, due to the fact that the state will end up putting this area in the hands of the country, due to the fact that the apartments will be built expensive, long and inefficient," he said.
Sławomir Mentzen, who “re reminded” Kaczyński that the situation on the political phase has late changed a lot.
"When presenting the Polish Declaration, Jarosław Kaczyński did not announcement that the political situation had changed. It's the Law and Justice that needs the Confederation, not the Confederation of Law and Justice. In due time, we will present to possible partners our conditions, in which there will surely be no socialist nonsense, specified as: surviving by law, not by goods"
– wrote the erstwhile presidential candidate for X.
