Sławomir Mentzen's election committee, the Confederate candidate for president, announced a gathering of 250,000 signatures of support which were submitted present to the State Election Commission (CPW).
This information was provided by the chief of election staff, Bartosz Bocheńczak.
According to the Electoral Code, the application for a presidential candidate requires at least 100,000 signatures of citizens entitled to vote. The Mentzen Committee has gathered more than twice as much, which underlines the commitment and mobilisation of its supporters. The committee's representative, Confederate Witold Tumanowicz, pointed out that the process of collecting signatures was very efficient and that tens of thousands of signatures continued to flow into offices. Nevertheless, it was decided not to hold and to complete the formalities related to the registration of the candidate as shortly as possible.
Sławomir Mentzen, co-chair of the Confederacy, expressed his gratitude to all who supported his candidacy after signing in the PCW. On platform X (formerly Twitter) he wrote:
– Up until late last night, we were counting signatures, and this morning we filed 250,000 signatures at PKW. Thank you so much for everyone who has joined the signature collection!
It is worth noting that Mentzen's electoral committee was the first to file the required number of signatures in the PCW, which may indicate good organisation and determination of his election staff.
After signing, Sławomir Mentzen's election run enters a fresh phase. The chief of staff, Bartosz Bocheńczak, announced an intensification of activities, including planning more than 200 meetings with voters across the country. The aim is to present an electoral programme and to discuss straight with citizens their needs and expectations.
Submission of 250,000 signatures is an crucial step in Sławomir Mentzen's campaign, which should influence the mobilisation of Confederate supporters in the upcoming presidential elections.
