Katarzyna Lubnauer, State Secretary at the Ministry of National Education, in replies to Adrian Zandberg's interpelling on the government electronic journal, she wrote that "the scope of publically available method information [e Journal], including API documentation, will be developed with the transition from piloting to mark resolution".
The consequence highlighted that a solution is being built that is "intended to be interoperable and prepared to work with another systems, including commercial solutions". However, no circumstantial deadlines were given.
Only 2.5 months ago the Ministry of National Education stood at another post. The press secretary of the state body wrote to the editorial board "Contrabanda" that neither the origin code nor the method documentation of the government electronic diary are planned to be made available – without giving any reason for this decision.
After the gathering of the Sejm committees on education and digitalisation, which held on 29 July 2026, Dariusz Standerski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, announced the publication of the origin code and method documentation of the government eDziennik "only at the mark solution".
– Neither a company nor an institution in the planet so openly provides full documentation. This documentation will be made available as for the European Digital Identity portfolio after the pilot series – explained the official.
However, erstwhile referring to the origin code of the state electronic log, Lubnauer wrote that the decision to make the code available "will depend on the adopted safety, maintenance and improvement model of the system".
– From a public interest point of view, it is essential that the State has control over the improvement of the service, safety, continuity of operation and the anticipation of making changes – adds the politician.
In consequence to the interview, we learn that the diary is planned as part of the "wider ecosystem mCitizen". The anticipation of integrating a government electronic log into the API is envisaged "to the degree essential for safe and controlled integration by authorised entities".
– However, the scope and method of making available [technical documentation and API interfaces, e.g. cars] will each take into account the security, data protection and stableness requirements of public services. – concludes the Secretary of State.
