"The Volunteer Coalition" was established on 2 March at the initiative of UK Prime Minister Keira Starmer to develop a comprehensive support plan for Ukraine, guarantee its permanent access to arms and take action to end the war. It includes 33 countries – mainly European, as well as Australia, fresh Zealand, Japan and Turkey. The coalition did not include the USA, any Balkan states, Hungary and Slovakia.
On Thursday, US president Donald Trump again called for 30 days of unconditional ceasefire, threatening with sanctions for disrespecting the truce. He besides announced that he would stay engaged in peace talks with Europeans.
