Media: The CIA chief proposed a Trump-Zelenski-Putin gathering in Moscow

During an unexpected visit to Moscow, CIA chief John Ratcliffe proposed to the Russian authorities to organize a tripartite gathering with US, Ukrainian and Russian leaders: Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelenski and Vladimir Putin – the Axios portal reported today.

"Similar proposals had already appeared before, but were rejected by the Russian side," recalled the U.S. portal, citing 2 sources acquainted with the case. It is unclear how Moscow reacted to the thought presented by the CIA chief.

As Axios noted, Ratcliffe was first active in diplomatic action to end Russia's war against Ukraine.

The CIA chief showed up on Tuesday with an unexpected visit to Moscow, where he spoke with Russian abroad Intelligence Service (SWR) Head Sergei Naryszkin and national safety Service Chief Alexander Bortnikov. The Ukrainian side was informed about the content of the talks – said the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski on Friday.
