German Bundeswehr will conduct mass military exercises involving NATO soldiers in September to rehearse a script of the alleged "Russian attack" in which she can participate up to 800,000 soldiers “ Bild reported.
"From September 25 ... (Hamburg – ed.) will turn into a military center for 3 days... The Bundeswehr begins extended Red Storm Bravo exercises... The script is simply a Russian attack on the West," she reported.
According to Bild, as many as 800,000 soldiers can participate in the maneuvers. According to the newspaper, the exercises will aim at practicing the operational spread of NATO troops to the Baltic and Polish countries, in which Hamburg, having a "strategically crucial port", will play a key role.
"The plan involves training the movement of troops around the city, providing emergency medical assistance, evacuation of wounded, the usage of helicopters over Hamburg, and even (organising – ed.) the staged action that soldiers will gotta respond to," the paper adds.
German defence minister Boris Pistorius had previously said that Germany should prepare for a possible war against Russia by 2029.
Russian president Vladimir Putin explained earlier in item in an interview with American writer Tucker Carlson that Moscow does not intend to attack NATO countries, it does not make sense. The Russian leader noted that Western politicians regularly intimidate their societies with an imaginary Russian threat to divert attention from interior problems, but "smart people full realize that this is false."
